One of the golf balls hatched!! UPDATE: Now all are Hatched - w/PIX

We have a broody sitting on 3 golf balls. At yesterday's Indiana meetup we picked up 5 chicks from day old to a week old. Last night we took out a golf ball and slipped in one of the week old EE's, and a day old Silver Spangled Hamburg.

Today momma is completely fooled and babies are doing well

Tonight the last two golf balls will come out and the three babies left will go in. I LOVE hatching golf balls - so reliable, no quitters, and can hatch in less time than regular eggs if you need them to!

UPDATE: all the golf balls "Hatched" successfully - we have five babies with one Seriously Protective momma!! (just ask the neighbor dog, he knows!)

Golf ball babies are awesome!!! Too bad we couldn't get rich hatching golf balls!
