At about 5 weeks old one of my Cornish rock giants escaped and took off into the woods, this morning it can back, I found it in the run with my layers (it is now 12 weeks old) it's managed to survive for 7 weeks on it's own and appears healthy, I think I may just see about keeping it with the layers for a bit.

Contrary to popular belief.....even CornishX can forage well and live much longer than the usual 8 weeks.
Some folks have even kept them into adulthood to lay and breed.

Yeah, I've got 9 (now 10) still out of 60, and they are very healthy
