one poult died!! =[ RIP (but still read i need your help)

one of best conditioned poult died. she was found dead with a yellow mucas coming out of her beak when my dad kind of squeezed her, not hard though but just to check if she was dead


im devastated...what went wrong? the bedding is hay pieces and wood shavings.....


please help!!

Could be a lot of things..
search and see if anything comes up with yellow mucous..

Last year we got a bail of hay with parisites in it, and lost our female BR.

The Tom started to have the parsites eat it feathers.

we dust the pens and bedding with savan, and ash it seemed to help.
If the bedding is wet, especially hay, it will allow bateriae and parisites to thrive. We have pretty much stop using any sort of hay, or stray as beading.
