We picked them up today, we got australorps,speckled sussex, and red stars!

Great breeds. The Australorps and Speckled Sussex are very friendly and gentle. Our children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) had no trouble making lap pets of them. And the Red Stars (Red Sex Links) are laying machines. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from those girls. )

Congratulations on your new flock! We've had all 3 of the breeds you selected. I love the personality of the SS, they are such sweet birds. And the red sex link girls really surprised me, everyone talks about their egg laying (which is great) but their intelligence, curiosity and friendliness was unexpected.

I hope you enjoy your birds as much as we enjoy ours!
