One week old and OMG

So many firsts today. First grass, first dust baths, first little roosting bar, and first flights for a few. Didn't expect them to fly so fast! They have definitely grown and several of them have lots of wing feathers.

Wish I had a good way to post video. But here is a pic.

Yesterday we had to empty and clean out one of our bigger horse troughs because the one I had them in was too short and every time I took the top off I had them flying up to the edge.

We built a hinged top for it that I can open either side which is easier than removing the wire shelf I was using as a lid on the old one.
