~Paytah turned to Misae, incredulous that this seemingly-innocent filly would unleash such utter rage like that. "Is this true?" he rumbled, regarding her with a mix of awe and looming suspicion.~

Misae looked at him blankly, then shook her head. "Yeah" she replied. "She saw that me and Hinto were leaving and just HAD to shove her head in and make it look like she was chasing us off. Tickjed me off, so I hit her - hard." Her face slowly and easily melted back into cold seriousness at the thought.

~Paytah nodded slowly, imagining the scene. "Those Mountain horses have always been too impudent," he murmured, then flung a stare at Misae, his voice jolting into sharpness. "You taught her a lesson, right?" He dug a hoof across the rocky soil with final realization. "So that's when Frost attacked you..."~

Misae walked along quietly, her gaze fixed on the ground and redirecting hrt anger at Otaktay towards Frost. "She drove off Hinto" she murmured, acting as if she couldn't remember.
(Okay I honestly can't remember what happened at the actual fight :gig)

~Macawi leapt out from the shadows, her dark eyes flaming with domineering superiority, and slammed into Misae, completely ignoring the fact that there was a full-grown stallion with her. "Don't come back, coward!" she trumpeted, pounding her front legs brutally into the other filly's flank. "Sun-Soak field belongs to Mountain Herd from now on!!"~

Misae squealed, at first with fright, but then her eyes took on a new gleam. The bloodthirsty spark of a rogue. She reared on her hind legs, and balanced there for what seemed like hours before letting loose with a full battle cry that echoed through the territories.
Hinto spun around as his Yearling crashed down into a young Mountain herd filly, the whites of his eyes shining like Fawn spots. " Misae, enough! I'm not waiting for you!" He whinnied, as he wheeled and bolted.

~
Flood froze and wheeled around. "What - WHO was that!" He nickered in shock at the enraged shriek he had just heard. "Otaktay! Come with me!" He neighed, as he turned and galloped toward sun soak field.

~Macawi glared up at her, unfazed by her cry of ringing defiance. She scuttled backward, her hooves spinning up a storm of whirling dust, as the larger year-long crashed back down. Something had just audibly and tangibly snapped within the yearling, and to the keen Macawi, it was blindingly obvious. "I don't know what just happened to you," she snorted, her dark eyes swirling with consternation, "but go."~

~Otaktay plunged into a thrumming sprint and leapt into Flood's wake, his ears ringing with the resound of a cry of defiance.
A shriek of broken toleration.
A screech of rebellion.
The burro kept pace with the larger stallion, his hooves hitting the ground twice for every time Flood's hoof found purchase. The dense forest began to gradually thin out, signalling that they were already nearing Sun-Soak Field. We've found our newest recruit.
And it's basically already recruited itself.~

Flood slowed to a silent walk as he neared the battle. In the middle of the field, two stalllions were entirley focused on eachother, with a few mountain herd horses still lingering as they drove off theor opponents. His calm, wise gaze turned and settled on the lanky pinto at the edge of the field. He instantly recognized the rage outlined in her young muscles, the wild light that sparked behind her eyes. "That's her" he snorted.
~
Misae's hooves slammed into the dark forest soil. She raised her head, flagged her tail, and began to prance around Macawi, her long legs working slowly, steadily, balancing her lithe frame  for a breif moment before she set them down. Giving her opponent no time for a reaction, her long neck snaked out and her bright white teeth flashed. There was now blood flowing slowly from Macawi's shoulder. Misae watched with pleasure as the wound pulsed with each heartbeat, then wheeled around and took off after Hinto, satisfied with herself.
~
Flood stood in awe at the evil genius of the young horse. "Such control!" he breathed. Then raced off to intercept the young mare, slidding his powerful body in front of her.
Misae skidded to an abrupt halt, then reared and slammed her hooves into Flood's gleaming hide.
~
Flood laughed. "You fought well, yearling" he nickered calmly, turning to face her.
~
Misae crouched, her head lowered and her ears pinned, her heart still thudding with the thrill of battle. "I am not afraid of you" she snorted, swishing her tail in defiance.
~
"Good, I never wanted you to be" Flood replied, raising his head. "Otaktay" he called, "Come, what do you think of her?"

~Paytah stumbled backward, off-balance, roaring with indignation. How is he doing this???? I'M TALLER AND MORE POWERFUL- YET HE'S WINNING!!!! Paytah reared up again, suspended for an interminable time; his movements becoming expected, he slammed into Smoke's flank with all the force he could fling into his hooves. My herd has left me. I'm left here, fighting ALONE for everything I know.~ (So much for Valley Herd's tenacious loyalty. *~*)

Smoke smiled inwardly, as the smell of fear briefly hit his nose. "You are alone, Paytah" he murmured wryly, knowing that the fight was his now. "I have already won."

~Paytah peeled back his lips and an eerie, unnerving screech shot into the air- the likes of something that would normally be emitted by a fox. "I'll never give up," he snorted, dark eyes sparking with clear tenacious determination. "Not until I die." He pranced in a wide circle around Smoke, tail flagged in a high arch of obvious defiance. If he wants to fight with words, let him. I fight with action.~
(Smoke, now'd be a good time to somehow defeat him without totally proving he's a weakling. ;) )

Eh? :p

~Otaktay shoved the black, wounded filly aside as he broke out into the sunlight. His gaze trickled along the defiant yearling Flood had his eye on. "She's strong," he muttered, encircling the enraged filly with a loping circle, "and her hatred for hierarchy and law is complete."~
~Macawi spat defiance, completely unafraid as her front leg gave way and she crumpled to the ground in the burro's wake. Bloodied mane obscuring her vision of the apparent raid, she let herself roll to the dirt, flanks heaving and frothy with glistening sweat. Her mind whirled with inexplicable consternation.
What
Just
Happened?~

Misae tensed abruptly at the sight of the burro.
He will die she thought, But not yet

~Otaktay froze up as he felt Misae's glare burning into him. His head whipped around and he tore her eyes into his. "You have something to say, filly?" he snorted, daring her not to flinch under the deadly intensity of his dark eyes. "A contradiction, perhaps?"~
~Macawi lay prostrate on the ground, taking in this exchange with the utmost care and eagerness. This information is going to come in useful someday.
In the very near future.~

Flood watched the exange quietly, flicking a fly off his broad, battle scarred flank.

~Otaktay glared back, shooting tangible malevolence at her from his eyes, and spun on his hooves, slapping his bristly tail in her face. "She obviously has no clue who we are," Otaktay snorted in a cruel amusement to Flood.~

Misae lunged forward and scraped her hooves down Otaktay's haunches, leaving two lon, bloody streaks in his hide.
~
"No" Flood murmured, "but perhaps that is an advantage to her. Not having any preset ideas. No ropes in her mind to even allow the thought that she would not win to cross her mind"

(Every single equine I own is wounded. 0_O :lau)
~Otaktay kicked back in instantaneous retaliation, not even looking back to aim his kick. "It could very well be," he observed to Flood without twitching at his pouring wound, feeling how his hooves connected on her flesh with a rush of maniacal satisfaction.~

Misae pulled back quickly, but not as if she had been surprised. She tested her weight on her now wounded shoulder, and leaned on the opposite side, flicking her tail casually.
~
Flood gazed at Misae. "What is your name, yearling?" He snorted calmly.
~
Misae turned her gaze to the powers stallion and traced his outline with her keen eyes. "Misae" she replied idly. "Who's your little scum friend over her?" She sneered, glaring at Otaktay.

"No, I don't." Misae snorted, her hatred for burros beginning to settle slightly. "But I wouldn't be surprised if it meant 'he who eats pine bark" she hissed.
~
this is going to be interesting Flood thought, cocking his hind leg.

(Okay I need sleep. Night)

~Otaktay's teeth clamped together in frustration. "He who kills many" he whispered with a burning glare at the impudent yearling, "and he who does not wish to have to add you to his list of victims."~

Flood held back a snicker as e saw how annoyed his friend was becoming. "You,come with me" e rumbled at Misae, so was till glaring spears at Otaktay. When he didn't move e stamped his hoof ad bean to herd er away, nipping and kicking her hard t times in oder t keep her moving. "Go" he snorted. "Otaktay, figure out what to do with that filly, I'll deal with this one." He whinnied over his shoulder.

~Otaktay stared after the yearling, resentment engulfing him. Snorting and thoroughly irked, he strolled over to where the black filly lay, crumpled into a bloody heap. "Get up."~
~Macawi didn't even twitch an ear. "Why should I?"~
~Otaktay nearly jammed his hooves into her then and there. He should just kill her to prove his point! "Because. I. Said. So," he snorted finally, lowering his head down onto the ground beside hers to hold unwavering eye contact. "Would you like to contradict me further?"~
~Macawi flinched away from his breath, almost tangibly tainted with blood. "Actually, I do," she huffed, making a point to shift completely away from him. "What if I don't want to get up?"~

(Okay, I'll make him really fast- although he's pretty much pointless right now now that I think about it. :p I can make him after they successfully take the two fillies! :yesss:)

(Alright! I'm gonna time skip Flood and Misae to the ridge)

Misae flung out her hind legs defiantly, but it was obvious she was exhausted from fightig Flood the whole way. "Why did you bring me hear" she huffed wearily.

Okay I can't take it. Kindle wants to go to bed ad the glitchy keys are driving me nuts. Niiiigt :frow zzzzzzzz...

Flood gave Misae a sharp nip to drive her up thee steep hill. "Come on kid, there's someone I want you to meet" he snorted as he herded the rebellious filly up the hill. "Ghost, come down here and help me with this little brat!" He whinnied.
~
Matho's ears pricked sharply. "What's he doing, kidnapping horses?" He whinnied quietly to Pale Blood.

:p

~Paytah was now becoming irked at the seeming lack of communication between the two horses. "Hinto, is this true? Did Mountain Herd Lead Mare drive you off in order to attack Misae?" Seems likely but their different stories are conflicting.~

Misae shook her head suddenly. "It wasn't Frost!" She whinnied, annoyed at herself, "it was some burro that I didn't recognize, duh! How could I forget that!" Sshe looked at Paytah's befuddled stare, then at Hinto, who was glaring accusingly at his yearling. "Misaaae?" He nickered slowly.
"What!" She squealed in exasperation, "imjust as annoyed at myself as you both are!"

"A burro, eh..." Paytah muttered, not entirely believing anything that left her snout now. He flicked an ear at Hinto, silently acknowledging the fact that Hinto didn't seem to be agreeing with any of this. "You've obviously gone through a terrible fright, Misae," he nickered slowly, vowing to discuss this in its honest entirety as soon as Misae left. "Go find Jade. She'll help you calm down."~

(Jade is mountain herd XD).

"Okay" Misae nickered, speeding up her walk a little bit to pass them.
~
Hinto watched her walk away, confusion written al over his face. "Either a lot went on after I left,or she's lying. Knowing her it could be either one" he snorted.

~Paytah turned to Hinto, completely solemn. "I need to know exactly what happened while you were there, Hinto," he snorted, stamping a hoof repeatedly. "This is getting suspicious- or she's intoxicated with sweet grass, flora loco, or something."~
