Wow, you must have an iron stomach to have been able to do that! I can't even think about it without getting sick LOL. I don't have any advice besides basic stuff that everyone's already said like keeping it clean and giving antibiotics, making sure she eats and stays hydrated, etc. But hey, people and other animals do just fine with missing appendages, I don't see why a chicken couldn't. Best of luck to you and your girl, I hope she heals well!

awww poor girl. Keep it clean and wrapped. Make sure you get her on good antibiotics..like injectable penicllin. Dog bites tend to leave tons of bacteria behind. If you are afraid of given her injections, contact a vet and see about getting an oral or water soluable one for her.

she can survive with only wing but keeping an infection out while it is healing it the most important thing.

Poor girl, but I bet she will be fine in the long run. You're doing such a great job of taking care of her. How about aspirin for pain? I've read somewhere on here that you can crush aspirin in water and it will help her not be in so much pain. Maybe someone can help with the dosage or advice about this.

Blood and bones doesnt bother me at all. It needed to be done and I hated to do it such a civil war way but it was the only thing I could think of at the time..

She shakes sometimes. Its sad.
Is there anything I can do for pain?
Yesterday after I had her all wrapped up I drew a very small amount of childrens tylenol up in a dropper with lots of water to mix.
Is that bad?

I believe you can give her baby aspirin in her water. Let me see if I can find the dose.

Aspirin: 1 baby aspirin crushed in 1 cup water or up to 5 325 mg aspirins in a gallon of water.
