One yolk, two blastodiscs

Noticed something interesting while I was cracking some eggs for breakfast just now. This one appears to have two blastodiscs attached to a single yolk. Double yolks aren't that uncommon, particularly with new layers which a lot of mine are, but I think this is more unusual.

Just one of those things that occasionally happens, I imagine. I skimmed through the first page of an internet search and there was a study from the 1960s that noted two almost fully developed chicks attached to a single yolk at separate points, when they opened the remaining eggs post hatch.

I expect it's the same as double yolks in that way - theoretically possible to hatch twins, but much more likely that the embryos will either die at some point during incubation or be unable to hatch unaided if they do make it to that point.
