Online Butchering Tutorial

Mac, thanks for posting Herrick's blog! That is awesome! I'm going to print and laminate this to take outside with me while I learn this process. I'm sure after you do it a couple of times that it becomes habit, but at first, it's a slow, step-by-step deal.

The only difference in my plan is that I don't want to mess with scalding and plucking, so I plan to skin my birds. But I think most of his plan will transfer nicely.

I did buy his book with the plans to make the plucker, but I just haven't jumped over that ravine yet. Let's see how my first birds look once I'm through with them. :eek: If they look hideous, I'll eat them myself and tell my friends they'll have to wait for the next batch come spring.
