I think the way this has been handled before is that someone offers something and she pays the price of shipping for the next set of eggs that are going OR she can buy some eggs and offer them up to the next person.

The way this should work is that someone else makes an offer then you send that person the amount of shipping.

ETA: surely you can afford the amount of shipping since you did offer the eggs. If the hen had stopped laying you should have said something in hopes of catching the silkie eggs before they were shipped. The eggs you offer are supposed to be available within 2 weeks.

The way this should work is that someone else makes an offer then you send that person the amount of shipping.

I would like to offer to pay the shipping for whoever offers a set of eggs. Solves all problems.

I would just offer some eggs, but BlueBirdChick isn't the only person with no birds laying.
