I have a question for you all;
If you are a regular on this chain and you have a full incubator and reserved space for the next several weeks, but want to snag eggs on the chain, how long is it fair to ask the person to wait to ship your eggs? I know many of us on here have extra eggs we are trying to share with others and need to ship them asap. If you guys could give me your opinions that would be great!
Sherry
I know I should put this on the "chat thread" but taking a chance responding here:

Sherry.. what I have done is put "mine if you can ship _____" OR PM and ask about a possible side trade if they need to ship eggs immediately. I know in my case - I offer eggs that I get consistently from my hens so waiting to ship isn't a big deal for me--remember sometimes is..

The only other downfall is if the hens decide to stop laying - predator scare, moult, broody.. as with any live animal.. future is hard to predict.. Just my 2 cents worth

I agree with that. I raise silkies and they are very unpredictable. They could be all laying real good and as soon as I get a mailing list filled they slow down. When I have eggs for a swap I state that I have them now or will ship on a certain date. I've had several requests for future shipment and the girls stopped laying and the order was late.

I will take the EEs and offer one of the following;
6+ Indian Runners
6+ Olive eggers (cuckoo marans x Ameraucanas)
6+ cuckoo marans (to ship next week) (sex-linked chicks)
6+ buff brahmas
