Online hatcheries

Well I dropped the ball and am now scrambling to find an online hatchery that will ship very small orders.
I thought I was all set with cacklehatchery.com but after contacting them, they will not be able to ship what I need at this time.
Can anyone help steer me to an online hatchery that will ship just a handful of birds at this time of year? We are looking for barred rocks, black australorps, buff orpingtons and maybe an easter egger.

My Pet Chicken will usually ship 3 or more birds. But I've heard their shipping is pricey. I think they also have 6 week old started pullets that you might be able to get now. I don't have any personal experience with them. If you can wait until the spring Cackle is really good.

You might try Ideal in Texas, I got 10 chicks from them back at the beginning of April. They do have the shipping info available on the website and you can figure cost. Hope this helps.

BTW Ideal hatches all year, not all breeds but they always have something.

Ideal also has specials running.
Getting just a few of each breed the sales probably won't help you.

I take the sales to mean they are still hatching chicks.

You can put an ad in Craig's list, someone local might hatch for you if you pay for the trouble.

My Pet Chicken is great for small orders. Depending on where you live, the order minimum may be larger, but it usually isn't over 5 birds. Yes, shipping is pricey, but the chicks are healthy, they add a heat pack, and have great customer service. Meyer Hatchery is also great.

Thank you all for your suggestions. We went with Mypetchicken.com and should have our chicks sometime later this week! Shipping was pricey but for such a small order I was happy to find a place to oblige.
We have a Barred Rock, a Black Australorp, a Buff Orpington and an Amaracauna(sp? Easter Egger) coming. Hopefully all will be healthy.

They drop ship from Meyer hatchery. Nice Birds better than most hatchery. I did get several show quality OEG &Japanese bantam from ideal.
