Your day sounds a little like mine.. well the busy part..lol.
My son recently divorced and was stuck with the high rent house..lease is up this month so DH and I headed down to Valdosta (3+ hours away) to help him spruce up for the walk through... well that meant that all the animals had to be fed pre-dawn.. so chickens went off without a hitch.. then when going down the back steps to feed the rabbit.. I miss the last two steps and end up in the yard.. DH said he heard a funny noise.. but of course he didn't come check.. I manage to get up.. come in the refill the water jugs.. and inform him that I had fallen down the steps.. "Oh that must have been the funny noise I heard".. he will be paying for that with construction jobs soon..lol

About to start the last week of work before Thanksgiving break.. the kids need it and I do too.. so looking forward to a week of good food and some relaxation.

I bought 6 hens and a cochin pair at the auction Saturday.. I too need more eating/selling eggs... so hoping that they adjust quickly..lol

Off to work.. yall behave

Shelly

Gosh Shelley, I hope you are ok. Falling down is no fun, I am experienced at it:p I had a change of plans today so I will go pick up the Blue Orps tomorrow . I sold another two dozen eating eggs today. And I packed and shipped six boxes of eggs. That took a while! And I need to pack a couple more for tomorrow . Just feel tired, like I am coming down with something. Sneezing, sore throat, you know the drill. Had some chicken broth and a bacon and egg sandwich for supper.
Went to town and got more chicken feed today. Tomorrow is shopping day, and will stop at the po. Nothing too exciting going on right now, expecting rain tomorrow . What's up folks?

Today I was supposed to pick up another flock of chickens but the lady never gave me her phone number or address so I didn't know where to go. I emailed her and hung around Jackson all day waiting but no reply. What a pain.
I did mail three boxes of eggs today, sold two chickens and two dozen eating eggs. Bought feed, bulk bread for the critters, some waterers, 2x4s, plywood... Coop building time as usual.
It was rainy and grey today, hope it clears up tomorrow , I have work to do around here.

Pouring rain this morning:p it did stop, but stayed grey all day. I planned to ship eggs, but waiting on confirmation of address on one. So I will ship tomorrow . I got two boxes of eggs today, so I will have to make room in the Bator. Tried to take some pictures, but the chickens keep moving and I end up with blurs. I deleted most of them.
The lady never got back to me about the blue orps. I am quite disappointed . Nothing too exciting going on, except I had 8 chicks hatch:)

Well, winter is caching up with me. Today i got the rest of the lumber i needed to finish the big coop. I hope to get it enclosed in the couple of days( enclosed not finished) We are all OK here just to busy to post.

Hey Deb, i just saw your polish up for sale. Great looking birds:D

Good to hear from you, Coach! I was wondering how you were doing. I need to get out there and get busy with coop/ run building too. Wish I could just build another barn. Thanks, I adore Polish!

Today I shipped three more boxes of eggs. Stopped at the feed store and put up a new "chicks" sign. I need the sell some, they are piling up in the brooders. I have so many breeds now sometimes it is hard to figure out what I have.
Happily, at least one of the polish pullets in the grow out pen started laying eggs . Man, I need coops built! I did start building the top for the new run I am making out of a hay ring. Those chickens will be glad to get out of the coop.
Fell asleep last night around 8:00, then I woke up at 3:00 am and was wide awake. Went outside and gave the goats hay, they were happy to get it since it was getting cold out there.
Tomorrow I will move the other half of the hay ring and get busy attaching the wire. Now I need to go out and fill more waterers:p

Today I carried the other two parts of the hay ring down to the new coop and assembled it. I started putting the wire on with zip ties, I think I need longer ones. I painted all the parts for the top, and fastened the wire on top. Now to put the hinges on and cart the whole thing down there. Chicks are still hatching out, I set up another brooder and plan to move more chicks down to the barn tonight. I am packing eggs, hope to get some shipped tomorrow . And then another batch will go out Monday.
I got my second batch of swap eggs today. The stupid mail person put them on the hood of the car in 38 degree weather, and it was clearly marked live animals:p idiot.

I have my mail lady trained to put my boxes in the breezeway between the house and garage where I brood chicks. They are not supposed to go inside anything but with my small community they make exceptions.
