Im going to sound insanely silly after this but I have been misspelling my own chicken's breed since the first day I got her. Thank you so much for correcting me on that because I would probably still be spelling Ameraucana as Americauna

Well, it’s actually spelled Easter Egger.

You're fine. It is really confusing because there's so many variants now. The made up "pretend" spelling is actually Americana (no U) but Easter Egger is definitely the correct term. It just means that your bird is (probably) a beautiful mutt that lays colored eggs. They're some of my favorite types of chickens, because you never know how they're going to turn out, it's a surprise. Plus, fun colored eggs.

Oh yeah, I use that all the time. Usually when I'm irritated and it's been misbehaving.

Any misspelling of Ameraucana is an EE.
Americana is probably the most common one, followed by Ameracauna and Amerucauna.
The misspellings for Araucana are all over the place too. Makes my skin crawl.
