Well, it’s actually spelled Easter Egger.Im going to sound insanely silly after this but I have been misspelling my own chicken's breed since the first day I got her. Thank you so much for correcting me on that because I would probably still be spelling Ameraucana as Americauna![]()

You're fine. It is really confusing because there's so many variants now. The made up "pretend" spelling is actually Americana (no U) but Easter Egger is definitely the correct term. It just means that your bird is (probably) a beautiful mutt that lays colored eggs. They're some of my favorite types of chickens, because you never know how they're going to turn out, it's a surprise. Americana is probably the most common one, followed by Ameracauna and Amerucauna.
The misspellings for Araucana are all over the place too. Makes my skin crawl.
