Harry was given to me, and the hen he was with looked like a california white bantam (white with black flecks). But his owner didn't know what he was, and both he and apparently the PREVIOUS owner, both had many cross-breeds. So it was assumed he was cross-bred as well.
He lost his hen to a fox a couple of months after he arrived though. And I got him his own set of four hens that are also cross-bred (Mille Fleur/Ameraucana bantams). Didn't have any plans to actually breed him, just didn't want him turning aggressive with the large-fowl hens that he lived with (since he is too small for them). And I only entered him in the show because I had the perfect photo of him. It can take me two to three HOURS of sitting around snapping shots to get a good photo of a single chicken. And I've got over 50 right now!
