only 1 hatched day 4 do I remove eggs from broody?

No pips on the other two eggs and she won't get off of the nest to take her 4 day old to eat or drink. So do I remove the other eggs? I have an incubator... do I move the other two eggs inside. Is there a way to tell if they are viable? I don't want the baby to starve.

Candle the remaining eggs to see if they are viable. If they aren't take them away. After day 4 I would be concerned about the little one. They only last about 3 days on the absorbed yolk. I'd maybe put them in the incubator if they are viable and see if she will then take care of the chick. Good luck!!

and how can I tell when I candle them? will they move? I know there are big dark masses in there...

I would look for movement. Candle both ends of the egg. If the bottom (small end) is clear, the mass is a chick that started and didn't finish in my experience. If you need more help you can PM me if you need to.

They have food and water but she won't move... I think I will leave the peeping one and bring the other one in and put it in the incubator so I can watch it.... sound good?

If she's still sitting on those eggs, don't take them. She'll hatch them out. Yes, move water and food close to her so she doesn't have to get off the eggs. I've had a broody hatch over a 4-5 day period. If she does get off the nest, put them in your incubator.

I'd just leave both. Apparently mommy knows best what she's doing to ensure her babies are fine. If the chick has food and water then it is okay. Mom will take care of the rest of the eggs. She will eat when her job is done. That's so cute!!
