Only 1 hen laying?

Thue other day I bought 11 Cortunix quail that the lady said were laying. I have 3 males and 8 females. When we picked them up there was an egg that she gave us. A couple of hours later at home there was another egg. That was 2 days ago and I have gotten 1 egg each day. Could there only be 1 or 2 hens laying or what? These are my first quail ever. I have 4 total eggs and I would like to try and hatch some. Any ideas as to what might be going on?

The stress of the move has most likely caused them to stop laying. Birds hate change.

About how long before they get settled back down?

You need to be running a light or they arent going to lay until march-april. If they dont see 14-16 hours of light their bodies will assume its fall (like it is) and stop laying.

Allow as much as 2 weeks after a move for them to settle in.

Thanks! I actually started this morning giving them an additional 2 hours of light. I turn it on at 5:00am and turn it off at 7:00.
