I have 5 hens in my coop that is roughly 4x8. I elevated the coop and fenced in the bottom for them to use as a run. I made a door that opens to then inside in the floor with a ramp down to the ground. I would say its around 2ft tall and the ramp is less than a 45degree angle. Only one chicken will use the ramp and she has since the begining. I have made the opening larger for them to go through in the floor. I added hardware cloth between the steps on the ramp. Does anyone else have any other suggestions? I am thinking about extending the run out further and making a new entrance through the side wall. Thanks for the help!

Pictures always help to see what you are talking about, but food is a great motivator. You can put the food and water only outside in the run, and throw their little hineys outside.

Yes, pictures can help. How long have the been in their new coop?

I came home on Thursday and all of the chickens were down in the run. All of them went up to roost at dark also. They havent been back down since.
