Only one hen laying

I got my 6 hens about a week ago. They are ex battery chickens and are coming along nicely. However only one of them are laying she has laid an egg every day for 4 days now. I put a rooster with them last week and he is now starting to mount them. Will these other hens eventually start laying or should I just keep them for the fun of it. I will never kill these 6 because of the misery they've endure for the first 18 months of their lives. If I get eggs that's great and if I don't I'll just be out feed with little return. But it will be disappointing.

Not at all unusual for hens to take a break from laying after being introduced to a new environment.

Our first double yolk egg. Now have 3 hens laying around 1 a day each. This egg was twice the size of a grade a extra large egg.. Poor hen
