ooey gooey baby ducks? Update ... totally gross and weird !!! Conjoined twins....any duck people?

been watching....and watching.....and waiting.....candled the one that had not pipped internally...no movement at all .......put it back in but noticed small dent outward almost like a pip.....got it back out candled again nothing...no movement at all so I flicked tiny piece of the egg where spot was......it was a beak tooth peeled tiny little piece back no movement or any signs of life.....lots of goo at tiny hole....duckling had tried to pip on side of egg not in air cell :( it had died.....So as gross as the whole duck thing is seeming to become I thought I would make a learning experience for myself and do an eggtopsy....there wasn't odor or anything...so maybe I can learn something from this being totally new to hatching duck eggs.....You won't believe what it was never seen anything like this in hatching chickens ever...

I have candled throughout .... checking for viability and possible early quitters...never any weird sign of anything.....I slowly peeled back the shell and membranes and released the ooey covered duckling.....It was a conjoined twin!!!! It had 2 heads 4 wings 4 little legs but was attached at the belly where the yolk gets absorbed.....tiny bit of yolk left surrounding the area not much at all.....looked perfect on both sides except being attached at the belly/navel area. How weird is that? I have no idea how I could have possibly missed a double yolker....same size egg as the others and the duckling/ducklings were huge!!! I don't know how they were crammed in that shell.....I am just amazed. Very sad I lost them but they probably would not have survived like that anyways......Anyone else ever had anything like this? These are hatching eggs from backyard flock I bought off of ebay.....roen, khacki, pekin some crosses some pure. The ducklings were solid black with tiny yellow pin stripes down their sides......

no no they didn't make it.....I found this out while doing an eggtopsy.....the way their beaks were in position neither one could have pipped the air cell......no I didn't take pic my camera is on the fritz....tried with the video one but it just came out dark and blurry.
