Saturday DH and I were out looking at houses to buy and we stopped by his Aunt and Uncles who also have chickens. We didn't know what kind of birds they had and we were talking and they have Marans. His aunt, whom I had never met before, gave me 5 eggs to hatch! She is by far the coolest aunt ever in my book! They are under my broody phoenix right now. 20 more days to go! I can't wait! I know the eggs she sells are expensive and we could have never bought them so I am so so grateful that she gave me some!
