I have a flock of 5. 4 hens laying and a rooster. One day I made the mistake of going to TSC, those babies are so So SO cute.
UT oh! $1 a chick. Got 9 blue andulusian pullets and 3 rir pullets for a grand total 12 for $10. Well, I never have good luck with chicks, want 5 buy 5 3 die......so 12, if a couple don't make it , I'm still good, and how many pullets are gonna crow and go to freezer camp?
They been in coop for a month (since 3 weeks of age) with the bigs.
7 weeks later, I still have 12.
None died.
None got by predators
All healthy happy birds.
No crowing yet, None look rooish, no stand off chest bumps etc.....
What are the odds I actually GOT 12 healthy pullets?
