OOPS! I don't think it was medicated

I just discovered that the bag of chick starter that my chicks just finished may not have been medicated. The tag on the bag says, "Starter-Grower Crumbles with APEX. Is that medicated? The bag I bought today is a different brand, but it clearly says "medicated" on it. If the feed they've been on for the past 4 weeks wasn't medicated, is it okay to give them medicated now?

I think APEX is a flavoring and oil additive, not a medication. I would start them on the medicated, and keep them on it for 2 weeks before putting them outside. Good luck.

I will start them on the medicated feed today, but as for doing so before putting them outside, it's too late. They've been outside for 3 days now. The temps here have been 90+ degrees in the daytime and mid 70s and higher at night. No worries about them getting chilled, but we were worried about the amonia smell in the garage suffocating them.
