At the very least, stop and make sure it's dead, and dispatch it mercifully if it's not. Also, why waste a life? Wild turkey tastes good--take it home and eat it, incorporate it into your dogs' food, something!

Pain is pain, suffering is suffering. I hope you checked to see if it was indeed dead instead of lying there in agony.
People who say or write things like you did make me both sad and angry. That kind of thinking we do not need in this troubled world.

p.s. chicknmania, I'm with you. I too would get upset if I ran over any living thing, knowing it was probably having a perfectly fine day until I showed up. I find animals hit by cars all the time, abandoned and left to suffer, and take them to a wildlife rehab facility - this usually makes me late getting anywhere because it happens all too often.

Edited to add that the OP just edited out the part that said it was funny so if anyone is wondering what the heck we're all commenting on, it's that. I'm glad maybe OP is rethinking that comment.

I am 14 years old, turkeys are rather dumb birds. I am not 100% sure it died. It was funny at the moment. If you were in my position right now you would have probably thought it was "funny" you may all be grown up but I am only 14 so it was funny to me. I edited it out so people aren't offended by it. I am sorry, but I didn't think it would offend anyone.

What makes you think turkeys are dumb?

At any age the killing or injuring of animal is not in any way funny. Even if the turkey hit your car and not your car hit the turkey it is still not funny.
