I’m going to post pics of my Opal Legbar here as she grows up. I hope this helps anyone who is looking for info on this pretty new breed that was originally developed by Candace Waldon. Unfortunately, I don’t know where my Opal came from as I picked her up at my local feed store. I assume a hatchery, but she wasn’t going for the hatchery prices (which are crazy), so maybe she came from a local breeder. So I can’t say she is a prime example of an Opal Legbar, but she is cute, and she’s mine, so I wanted to start a thread showing her growth as I have not been able to find many week by week photos of these birds.
She is two weeks old today and here are some photos from the day I got her (she was 3 days old) to today at exactly 2 weeks. I will come back here and post each week showing her progress. I hope you enjoy.
