Opa's place -Where an old rooster visits with friends

Penelope is a beautiful bird but the one I really liked the looks of has very gold colored hackle feathers, a gray body and gold lacing on the gray

Hey, Sam... Is this the one you're talking about? Her name is Penelope. I named her after Penelope Cruz because I think she's exotic and beautiful. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/36285_pb020057.jpg

Wow, she's so beautiful!

Sam, we had so much fun with you two today! I absolutely love Granny! Please tell her that I will cherish the beautiful doily for years to come. Here are some pictures...I will email them to you, as well, so you can have them.

Tom and I went to TSC today after Sam left and picked up a whole bunch of fencing supplies so that we can section off a couple of extra pastures. Guess what we're going to be doing in the rain this weekend?

Oh, Tom just told me that you're talking about Minnie. Here's her picture:

She's half Minorca and half oops. I got her with the group from Ann Arbor. He liked her blue and buff, but he wasn't sure which roo had gotten to her mom without his knowledge. Her mom was the Minorca.

Yep that's the bird. I wish others could see her as the picture doesn't really do her justice. The red gold lacing on the gray feathers are incredible.

Thanks again for a wonderful day.

OMG She's sooooo cute!!! Is she a bantam?

No, not a bantam, but slightly smaller than some of my other girls. She's about the same size as my RIR's. I just named her Minnie so that I would remember that she is half Minorca. LOL!
