im interested in this coop https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=39717-how-to-build-a-brood-pen

how
many chickens can this hold? i currently have 2 chickens 6 weeks old in a 2x4 rabbit hutch and they need out soon, and have 6 chicks i just picked up yesterday for free, and i would like them to go in the rabbit hutch set up as a brooder...so im thinking about making an open air coop, and was wondering if i could build a coop like above temporarily for the two, and then maybe add to this a few weeks down the road.
i know i should just build the whole thing now but i think im going to need a seperate pen, because out of the six chicks one of them is very aggressive towards my RIR chicks, so i dont mind having a seperate pen i could use for something else.

now that i made that confusing,

so any ideas are welcome, how many chicks in that sort of coop? any additions recommended for that coop? thank you

The link didn't work for me. It could be my browser.

This might help.

3. How much space do I need in my chicken house and run? top
Inside a minimum of 2 square feet of floor space. Outside, a minimum of 10
square feet in the run per bird (some say 4 sq. ft., but that's only 2x2,
and I personally think that's restrictive).

It is from: https://www.backyardchickens.com/cgi-bin/faq/mojofaq.cgi?cat=102#mojo3

hmm wonder why link isnt working...

hopefully that works to give an idea of what i was talking about

What are the dimensions? For some reason I am having trouble guessing from the pic... is it 4x8?

If it is 4x8, I would not personally put more than 2 chickens in there, although you could have reasonable odds of of doing 'ok' with three or four.

Good luck, have fun,

Pat

That is a really nice looking pen. Looks sturdy!! Since you said you thought you should have a separate pen, I'm thinking you are planning to use this as a temporary pen. If you are, I think that looks GREAT for growing chicks! I personally would still build to higher specs for long term housing.
