Open gash on Silkie hen

This morning when I went to check on her I found an egg she laid but there was next to no shell, it was thin and clear and collapsed with the yolk coming out of it.
Does anyone know what this could be? Is she getting worse?

Usually no weak or no she'll is due to her not having enough calcium. There are some threads on here about liquid calcium supplement and of course hens should always have oyster shell available to them. They usually know what they need and eat it acordingly. Pullets sometimes lay eggs without shells too as their body is not fully developed. Kinda like human girls don't always have the most regular periods at first.
