I currently have three eggs in an open incubator that I had to make in a hurry...I'm kind of a use what I have sort of girl haha and these eggs had already begun to warm so I had to throw something together. My "incubator" is made from a cockatiel nesting box, a reptile lamp with a 100w bulb, 4 tall dishes of water with sponges to increase the surface area. I have a thermometer and a hydrometer in there to keep track of everything. I am able to keep the temp right around 100 by adjusting the lid of the box. I have a steady humidity of around 48. We are on day 16 and all three are growing happily in their shells. My question is - do you think they will hatch? I am thinking of hanging some damp wash cloths and getting larger sponges to add to the humidity and I have a spray bottle ready for emergencies...any other suggestions? I'm so nervous that this isn't going to work and everything I've put into these eggs will be for nothing :( (How do I add a photo to show you my set up?)
