Truthfully - I find it closer to 4 weeks, after the comb has redden-ed. But while pullets are suppose to lay in the short days of winter, I only find that true IF they start laying before those short days... I don't add light to mine, and that makes a difference I am sure.
I would expect those girls to not start laying until mid January if you are in the northern hemisphere.
