I just added 3 standards and one bantam to my flock of 10 standards last Sunday. Naturally there has been some fighting but the chickens have shared a fence for years so its gone quite smoothly. However this morning I found the bantam (Olivia) had a patch of skin missing on her neck. She seems fine for now but I put her in a dog kennel in the coop so no one can pick on her. What should I do for the wound?

If these pictures aren't enough I can get more.

I would either get some Vetericyn wound spray at your feed store, or clean it with betadine 10% once, and apply plain antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment daily. BluKote can be used to conceal the redness after the skin has formed a scab.

Okay. Thank you.
