"openable" or "cleanable" screw in horizontal water nipples

I have never had to take the horizontal nippler apart because they haven't failed in 2 plus years

I've had some not seal correctly right out of the package and drip. I took them out, cleaned around the O ring and problem solved. I've made quite a few waterers, using at least 30 - 40 horizontals in the process.

Never saw that explicitly. In my OP, there is a link. That page said there was a product it described as something you could "open" to "clean". I interpreted that to mean a design feature. But as you say, a lot of things that are not designed for maintenence can still be MacGyvered for longer life. Thanks for the collection of 3 sizes of waterers. I'd seen 2 and 3 durhing my old thread searching yesterday. The brooder pic is new thought. Good idea. We're just using an old heavy plastic canola jug with a window cut out and the birdies do slop it around.
