Okay, so my incubator is DIY, so I cant see through it to see if the eggs have hatched yet. I'm worried if I dont check to see of anything has hatched yet, then the chicks will suffocate. Also, I have 3 different batches in the same incubator...what do I do?

Just open and check, you can mist the eggs when you're done to bump up humidity

Are there air holes in your bator so the chicks can breathe?
The incubator is a plastic tub with a small space between the lid and the tub so the cord of the heating pad can get through. Is that enough air circulation or should I leave the lid partly open?

Can you post a pic?
I just drilled some holes in the bator are there enough?
