Opening shell above air cell ?

If one of your eggs had too small of an air cell could you make a small opening in the shell above the air cell and raise the humidity to keep the membrane from drying out. I'm just kinda curious about if this had been done before

I wouldn't do it.
Opening an egg before an embryo is ready to hatch will create far more problems than you have with a small air cell.

I don't actually have an egg with a small air sac I just wanted to know if this had ever been tried or if it was possible. The idea I had was keeping the egg in its own sterile incubator and a small hole was made into the air cell from the shell just when you noticed its beak in the sac as an experiment or as a last minute fix to a small air sac.

But why would you need to fix a small air sac at all never mind in advance? Thats the bit I dont get?

The incubator I use usually has its humidity off and the only area I can keep my incubator so that is it safe is very humid, so I thought figuring out a way to keep chicks with a small air sac from suffocating might be a good idea or cool experiment if something ever went wrong and the eggs had too much humidity when incubating
