Opening up door roosting area when minus 5

Well, they had a bit of a dry run today. We have freezing fog so I left it until about 10.15 before opening up. They were fine.
It’s midday here and the freezing fog, well I think it’s more like low clouds here in the Pyrenees foothills, is still so heavy that we still can’t see the edge of our land- it’s a bit weird!

Really, they will be fine... it was 7 below 0 F which is about -20C here this morning with fresh snow on the ground and all the chickens and ducks came right outside when I opened their doors to have a bit of breakfast.
