My pure Ameraucana girl has been sitting for 4 days and 3 nights now on wooden eggs. (my first broody!

) I set up a more private area of the coop for her, so she won't be bothered by the other hens. She ate for a bit, then settled back down on the nest. Hopefully, everything will go well and I'll slip eggs under her tonight.

Good luck! I'd like to see a picture of what a pure Ameraucana looks like, just to compare her to my feed store, rather scraggly looking EE

And I can't wait to see pics of your hatched babies!!!

I have an EE also. She's one of my favorites. I have 4 pure Ameraucana's that are black. Here's what they look like right before they started laying:

Got 9 eggs placed under her. She tucked them all in and is sitting tight this morning. So today is Day 1!

Most of the babies will be olive eggers.

If broody girl rolled her eggs in it is a good sign!
