Ha! Ditto, i still don't have all the cedar siding on the chicken coop yet. But no one sees the back and most of the other side that is not done is inside the run so only the chickens see it.

I made the bottom out of an old drawer. I was admiring the dovetail joints that held it together. I will never be that good at woodworking but i enjoy making things.

I found an antique mahogany dresser for $20 at a thrift shop, removed the beautiful drawers to use for storage and projects, and sold the drawer-less dresser for $35 at a yard sale!!

I really need a good tool belt. I'm always juggling several things in my hands and stuff the extras in my pockets, so it's not unusual to put a tape measure through the wash!

Yesterday I smashed my thumb with a hammer. I've done it before, but not like that. Boy is it sore today. Grrrrr. A tool belt can't help with that, though!!

We have six foot 2"x4" welded fencing for the chicken run. The bottom three feet is 1/2" hardware cloth and buried skirts and trenching.

I kept putting off framing out the top and bottom of the fencing, but today we're hanging some of the boards. Next I'll be able to enclose the top of the run.

I love my new miter saw!!!

You can get those canvas aprons for nails and screws pretty cheap. Just keep your tape measure in there.

This is fun to browse. It's a bunch of handmade tool belts on Etsy. I could never afford one of those, and since my husband works at a hardware store, I'll take advantage of his discount and get something there. But someday!!

A chop saw and miter saw are the same thing. I learned this a week ago.

Life changing, that saw. I'm loving it.

Today I bought more lumber for the chicken run. I waited so long to hang one board, the darn thing badly warped. I should be able to cut it down to size for other projects, so it's not a total loss. But boy was I frustrated.

Never fear, lumber is here, though!

And I've been using a makeshift chicken yard door. I'm finally building a proper one. I have dexterity problems, injured wrists and arthritic fingers. Ugh. The lack of a proper saw meant tons of sanding, which caused all kinds of hand problems for me. I stopped doing projects because all the gerry-rigging I was doing to make up for not having proper tools got me feeling anxious, and so I kept putting off all these projects.

Now I can't wait to get out here and working!!

Okay, that's all ... for now.

I was out painting the trim on the goat shed today. Got one coat done. Started making a little roof for the deer salt but the cuts the boards had ( left overs) were different from what i was doing. I will tackle that another day. I wanted to get the paint on.

Whelp, the day has just gone to the dinosaurs.

I just learned from @flappychicken that chickens and tyrannosauruses are related!!!

Now I'm researching dinosaurs!!!!!!!! Help. me!!!
