I'm looking to get some bantams from Cackle Hatchery, and wanted some opinions on coloring, please! I have two mix breed bantam roos now, half black breasted red Old English and half mottled Jap - my delimma: I'm in love with the coloring of the black breasted red, but I also have been struck with a strong liking for the black tailed buff, black tailed white AND the grey Japs! And I really didn't want to order five million chicks.. Which combination do you believe will produce the most striking coloration!? Also, do you know of any temperament pros/cons of these two breeds?
