4 weeks old. I know it’s young, but I’d love to hear people’s thoughts. The egg was shipped to me in a variety pack as “75% spalding, carries white gene.” Drogon has white flight feathers, a bib, and an uneven white blotch on “his” head. Some of the feathers coming in on his back have a green tinge. Can you tell if “he” is a he? Wasn’t being too cooperative...although he did stretch his wing out for me. :)

Thoughts on color/pattern? Dark pied? Still learning.

I’m no expert, but from what I’ve read/seen in forms say Spaulding chicks take longer to sex due to females keeping their barring longer. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Looks darker in color to me so maybe female but I wouldn’t take it to the bank
super cute!

Sounds like a bit of a mystery, haha. I am going to get the four other chicks DNA sexed (they are white), so I will go ahead and do it for Drogon as well. :)

I may do the same for mine...I have at least one black shoulder peachick and may soon have more. Where do you go to have them tested?

Good question. dnacenter.com or iqbirdtesting seem to be options. I havent really researched that deeply into it yet...
