Opinions on my birds please :-)

Hi everyone, here are some photos of my 9 week old chicks...... the top one is a pekin x polish, and the bottom one is a silkie. Would like some opinions on gender please - I am a complete novice, however the Polkin does look quite cockerel -like. No idea about the silkie. I couldn't get them to stay still long enough for full body photos!
Thanks in advance for any advice - I really want to find out as I have a second batch of chicks that are 4 weeks, and another due to hatch tomorrow. When I put these guys next to the little chicks all hell broke loose, so if these are both boys I will rehome them sooner rather than later! Katrina

Silkie looks like a girl, the Pekin-Polish looks like a roo as you guessed.

Thanks - please could you tell me why the silkie looks like a girl? I have some other newly hatch silkie chicks so i would be interested to know what to look for later on. Thanks!

From my observation with silkies, a girl will have an almost no existant comb where as a boy will have a squished pancake looking comb.

I agree, the top one is more likely than not a boy and the bottom one looks like a girl.

Bottom=girl

Like everyone says, haha. Silkie girls' combs aren't as prominent.
