Opinions on New Cat Condos tower/condo

I actually, ended up buying the heavy duty 65" Frisco from chewy. I haven't put it up yet. My daughter and I are going to do some upholstery work on it first.

They'll love it!

I have 4 cats. On accident, but that's another story! They drive me BONKERS.
Aubrey is a cat I inherited from my mom who couldn't take him with her to her new retirement community. He's 16 years old and weighs 31 lbs. So we had to get something substantial. We got them this and reinforced the heck out of it:

We added hanging toys, a cat bed, and a cardboard scratching thing (they love cardboard).

Can I see a picture of your 31lb cat?

Can I see pictures of all y'alls cats?

The reason I bought from Chewy is because newcatcondos had a horrible bbb rating, an "F" for delivery, and customer service.

I saw this one on wayfair. I thought about it, but wanted a tall climber. June runs through the house and jumps, climbing everything in site. That's why the old Amazon cat tree is getting wobbly.

My intention is to reupholster the condo sides in faux leather (I don't think they will scratch much down there) and the hatch shelf with the chenille upholstery fabric, and surround the hole with sisal rope.
I'll also use the chenille on the two landings and the kitty corner shelf.
I'll leave the top shelf alone. The fur on the cover seems pretty soft and nice.
Here are the tree and the upholstery fabrics I'm using:

I'll post some pictures when we are done.
