Husband picked these up at our local farm store. They were sold to him as white leghorn pullets but I’m not convinced. They seem quite large and rather dense. Any input is appreciated!

I don't know diddly about Leghorns, but I agree that those look awfully... thick.

How old are they supposed to be? Did the feed store also have Cornish X chicks?

The worker my husband spoke to said they had over 200 white leghorns in. Said that was all they had available.
I’m leaning towards them being Cornish X though.
Age should be about a week

Cant really trust those feed store employees to tell you what they have.

Update this thread with new pics in a few weeks. You'll know for sure then.

When I had a leghorn among a mixed flock of chicks, the leghorn was about the size of a bantam. She was noticeably tinier than the others. What would you do if they were CXs??????
If they are Cornish X they will be getting processed at the correct age. We already have some Cornish X ordered from a local hatchery so we already planned and are preparing to have some meat birds. Just sucks cause these were a “gift” to me from my husband after we lost our rooster.

But with everyone “panic buying” chickens right now, if these are meat birds some people in my area are going to shocked in a few weeks😬
