Opinions please

My flock is random mixed birds we call EEs, I bring in a different breed for whatever reason at the time. Like making olive eggers,,, I luv lots of colors in the egg box!
What are your goals?
I thought it would nice if I had four different ones to see their different characteristics

we have 5 chickens, 4 different breeds but all different colours in feathering, 4 different colour eggs, brownx2( but even though they are both australorps their egg colour shade and size is slightly different so i can tell who is whos), blue, white and speckled brown :)) so fun to watch them all and its great knowing who laid that day.

Of my seven pullets, 2 are EEs and the rest are all different. We chose randomly and my children picked the ones they liked the best so I have 1 silkie, an Appenzeller, a RIR, a NHR, a Black Australorp, and the 2 EEs, along with 2 Australorp Cockerels.
I too wanted a colorful egg basket but I'm loving the differences each of them.

Hi I’m just getting set up with coop and run, I was wondering if there is any reason why I can’t get four different types of birds or would it be better to get two and two of the same??
my flock listed in signature. other than culling some feather pickers, which happened to be Jersey Giants, have no problems
