Shleya headed down the street talking quietly but fast about all the details. He just nodded. Lucky bounded around their ankles, Andrew's mom had insisted that they take her. They were both staring at the ground with their baseball caps pulled down over their eyes. Shleya felt the sudden urge to look up. She stopped Andrew by putting her arm out. he ran into it and looked up to. Shleya's mouth went dry. "Madison...." She said eyes widening.

"Hey shleya...." Madison said, looking up at shleya. She noticed someone else with her and decided to introduce herself. "Hi, I'm Madison...." She said as she stuck out her hand.

Andrew looked at her hand like it was poison. "You shouldn't be here." He said simply but quietly. He looked back at Shleya like he wanted a tip on how to act. Lucky ran up and greeted Madison instead. jumping up onto her legs.

"Hi girl..." Madison said in a sweet voice as she bent down and pet lucky on the head. "I know.... But no harm done. I don't even know why people made that stupid rule..." Madison said, not looking up.

Shleya paled. "We need to get out of here." She said urgently. "People around here know everyone and they would know someone as optimistic as you." She said ushering Madison towards the mountain, looking back nervously.

"What's the rush... There's other cities on this planet, people travel you know...." Madison said, not budging.

Shleya looked at Madison pleadingly but she knew she couldn't change her mind. "Fine... we could be related or something." She said looked at Andrew frantically. "I need to talk to you without people overhearing. Can we please get out of here?" She asked desperately looking to see one of the bully 'gangs' seeing her and walking over.

Madison looked over at the gang and took a defensive stand, knowing shleya and the other kid were the kind of people that got bullied a lot.
