Oppossum....a threat?

I just shot a young adult possum last night that was eating my cat's food. Felt bad (hate to kill things) but remembered that first they eat all the eggs they can find and then they go on to chicken dinners so that was that. One shot with the 22, very fast....

I think most of us don't like to kill things (well, I will speak for myself anyway). Considering the alternative though, getting rid of that opossum for good was probably the best thing I did for my chickens tonight. After we shot it the last time, all the roos and hens were hooting and hollering at us....I believe it to be "chickenish" for "Thanks for saving my chicken butt!"
