Found a small oppossum living in a corner of the barn last night.

Will oppossums eat chicken eggs? My chickens live in a horse stall and the oppossum can have easy access to the eggs.

Just this past week I found a little possum had eaten all the eggs my broodie has been sitting on. Less than a dozen but more than I thought he could every consume. Needless to say, I caught him and rehomed him.

I re home them to the Canadian fur auctions

Yes they will. I had one eat all the eggs my hen was setting on. They will also eat your chickens. Get rid of him.

Had one eat through the leg of my broody muscovy to get the clutch she was sitting on. If she hadn't been white, we may not have noticed she had blood on her....still as mean as every, attacking me when I lifted her off the nest to discover the shattered empty shells. I can't imagine the pain she was in, either. I patched her up and within no time, broody again.

I truly am an animal lover, however, if it kills or destroys, it's gone.

Ok, how about this: Will oppossums eat the chicken feed/scratch?

Looks like I've got some trapping to do tonight.

Found a HUGE dead oppossum in the barn a week ago - the rooster took care of that one for me.
