Optimal age to process Coturnix ?

Friday through sunday i dont get on here much and by the time monday rolls around I always feel like I missed out on so much LOL!

Good thing I drive bus or I'd be out buying a laptop. I drive 2.5 hrs mornings and 2.0 hrs afternoons. My last three youngens are in school all day now. So at 4:30 wake up I have my coffee and get critters taken care of, By 6 getting one daughter up for school. Grandpa comes over for the other two and I go pre-tripmy bus and drive. Come home more coffee check this website. Keep on all day take care of dinner chores housework then go drive again, after reading through here. Home by 4:30 dinner done check website, kids homework chores feed critters housework clean whatever else. Bed by hopefully 12 or 1 am this year. Now hope it can work out like this.

My hubby says the same thing. His last comment was you've gone to the birds woman. It is how I can keep everything done and clean with all the other things. I don't think its strange at all.

How much extra meat are you talking about here? I was planning to process a bunch (500ish) to sell locally when they were around 6-8 weeks, but the feed cost does have to figure into the equation....4.5c a day for another 28 days takes another $1.26 outta my pocket!

Has anyone ever weighed the differance? Or processed enough to give an educated guess?
