If the tractor has hardware cloth on the bottom nothing could get inside

What prevented them from going under the fence?

We ran the fence across the creek and piled rocks around the sides and bottom .We we're at the head of the hollow ,last house.A branch coming out the mountain fed the creek so it was shallow on our end(the beginning of the creek) At the end of the dirt road it was much bigger(more springs emptied into the creek)

Basically you have to build a fence across a pond the same way you'd build it on land.

It would be easier to run a fence from one side of the pond to the other .They need some dry land fenced in too

What about fencing in a portion of the pond, like one strip of it? How feasible is it to plant tposts and fencing underwater, maybe 4 feet deep?

You could also build the ducks a pond on dry land (kiddie pool)Pump water from the pond to fill it and add an over flow so excess water from the pool drains back into the pond (via a pipe)You'd want a drain in the bottom so you can clean it too
