You could split there brooder with a wireframe, so they can see and hear each other, but can't touch.

Ok what about when they get older? Can I house them together or do the ducks have to have their own coop? They will be free ranging during the day and locked up at night. We also have chickens.

If you have a Gander in the bunch, he and your females will most likely need to be separated at night, when they free-range during the day they usually don't have many problems since there are many activities to keep them busy, but ya never know how they will act.

we sexed them(attempted) and we have all girls or possibly one male duck we believe.

UPDATE: Vet said Bumblefoot and is highly contagious. Now it is starting on the geese. Putting on antibiotics. . He said maybe sand would be better instead of pine shavings. My poor babies I thought we were taking care of them so good.

Wow. Bumblefoot. It really did seem like you took care to keep them clean of poop. Did you get them from a hatchery or a feed store? I always felt that if you kept everything clean it would be difficult for bumblefoot to develop, especially on chicks. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that!

Shavings is a very loose term. Different processes make them in different ways and create a different product called the same thing. I would call those wood chips. They dont look like the fluffy pet store shavings in the picture.

If they are not in pain I'm suspicious it might not be bumble.
