Orange Tabby...He Stays and His Name is Finn (Update with Videos Dec 31)

My 38 year old son who also supposedly does not like cats just met Finn. He watched him hunt for quite awhile, remarked on how smart he was. Finn rubbed against him, fell on the floor at his feet, etc. So, maybe we've softened another Cat Hater.

Finn, the converter of cat hater's everywhere!

Really, how could someone not fall for him. What's not to love?

Finn hunted more in the afternoon than he usually does, then came up to the deck and fell asleep in his crocheted bed on a chair and slept for hours, missed his usual suppertime. Then, when he wanted in, he stood at the threshold and peered inside to make sure the two strangers weren't there anymore before he'd come get his supper. He entertained my son and his wife for a long time yesterday.

I did see some mouse pellets on my deck, though, so while he was out hunting in the woods during the night, something was having a party up at the house for the first time since he arrived here. I took Finn to that spot to show him that he had an off day and I did not want to see that again, LOL.

My Artful Dodger is indoor/outdoor. He is better than the weather men at forecasting the day. If he won't go out in the morning then I know something nasty is headed my way. He was 100% outdoor for a while, but got a taste of the good life and never looked back.

Finn is outside behind the front garden with his front paw and leg up to the shoulder down a mouse tunnel under the leaves. He knows something is there just beyond his reach and won't stop hunting back there.
